Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya has joined the ranks of IRONMAN 70.3 finishers after successfully completing the intense triathlon, which included a 1.9 km swim, a 90 km bike ride, and a 21.1 km run in Goa.

Surya was among nearly 1,200 participants from across the globe and dedicated his achievement to the Fit India Movement launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2019.

Reflecting on his four-month training journey, Surya shared, “Preparing for IRONMAN required intense dedication, especially with a hectic travel schedule, but seeing others—many busier and older than I—was a powerful motivator.”

Surya, who had previously participated as part of a relay team in 2022, completed the full 113 km course this time. Finishing within the eight-and-a-half-hour limit, he expressed gratitude to friends and team members for encouraging him to face the endurance challenge.

Surya added, “In those final minutes, my drive to honor Modi ji’s vision kept me going. Let’s all strive to be strong and fit together.”
